YUTAKA 豊

YUTAKA means richness & abundance. Rich green in colour, this tea has a strong taste with a lasting fragrance. Our premium tea leaves are steamed 2-3 times longer than regular sencha for extra intensity.

This sencha is prepared using the ancient Fukamushi 'Deep Steamed' method, where the tea absorbs the flower fragrance during the long steaming process. Strong and intense in the first steep, YUTAKA unveils its fragrance more in the second steep.

  • Small-batch green tea: Sencha tea leaves
  • Large 100g volume
  • Cultivar: Yabukita & Sayamakaori
  • Process: Fukamushi
  • Single Origin - direct from farmer
  • Blended for Cup of Japan by Ikenoya Family
  • No preservatives/ No GMO /Gluten-free /Vegan

Sayama, Saitama; Japan

PREPARATION

6g. of tea leaves for 180cl. of hot water
1st Steep: 80sec at 70-80°C
2nd Steep: 60sec at 80°C
3rd Steep: 20sec at over 80°C

Put 6g of tea leaves inside Japanese Teapot (Kyusu). Pour hot water at 70 to 80℃.
Wait 80 seconds without the lid on, put the lid on and pour gently into the cup.
We recommend to steep two more times.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Fukamushi Sencha is a green tea that was steamed two to three times longer than regular Sencha; it is a sharp tea with a higher concentration of tannin.
